The Malocas Jungle Lodge is a small ecological lodge located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazonian forest. The lodge enjoys a natural sand area in front of the river. Inspired from the native culture, it is divided in several Malocas (traditional indigenous houses) built after the ancestral methods with natural materials (wood, barks, creeper…)

 The main maloca is the reception/restaurant/bar. Another maloca gathers 12 simple and comfortable double rooms with private bathrooms. A hut with some hammocks enables you to rest whenever you want. Also, a honeymoon suite is available in front of the river.

The food is made out of delicious Amazonian fishes and local specialties. Tropical fruits are always on disposal.
Our Specialities

The survival night*

You  and your guide will experiment an immersion  in the deep jungle for one night. You will be able to discover how you can use the Amazonian environment to survive,  while respecting it. Above all, you will be able to feel the jungle atmosphere at night, lulled in your hammock by the sounds of the nature….

Paddling down the river “Rio Preto*

From half a day to two days, you paddle along the beautiful river in traditional Indian canoes (one or two seats)

Trek in the deep jungle, survival night, paddling, bath in the waterfalls, piranhas’ fishing, observation of the fauna and flora, firecamp and Indian legends...By day, by night, under the sun, under the rain, Amazonia will get you carried away...

 

 

The Malocas Jungle lodge is 160km away from the city of Manaus, along the river Rio Preto. This tributary of the river Amazon owns healthy acid waters that prevent the mosquitos’ proliferation.

Sustainable development policy

The Malocas Jungle Lodge has been built in a deep respect for the Environment. Our organization aims to be economically sustainable while preserving the ecosystems and using the natural resources in a responsible way. There you will hear only the noises of the Nature, candle and oil lamps will light the lodge (where there is no electricity) at night. We work with the local population and make sure that we are improving their living conditions and the one of all the Malocas Jungle Lodge shareholders.

We abide by the « Tourism adventure » Brazilian lesgislation that has certified the security of the “Jacaré’s walk”, the piranha fishing on canoe board and the observation of the wild nocturnal life.
